Join me at Ivanhoe Park Lager House on Saturday, 4/19 from 12:30-2:30pm for a cookie decorating class and learn all about cookie decorating with royal icing!

Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies?! Meredith is here to help! In this 2 hour workshop, we'll cover the basics of sugar cookies, you'll get my royal icing and sugar cookie recipe, and we'll strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies! Everything you'll need is provided!

You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies, plus a few cool techniques that we'll cover in class! This class is for beginners, so don't worry if you've never decorated - we've got you covered. More details on refunds, credits, and FAQs are below. I can't wait to decorate with you!

We'll be decorating 6 cookies in class, but you can add on a decorating kit to take home, too! Each kit will have all the icing, sprinkles, and tools required to decorate the six cookies inside. Whether you want more practice or want to take a kit home to decorate with your kiddo - simply add it on to this ticket purchase and I'll have it ready to go with you after class!

About the Sugar Cookie Class!

I provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - I just need YOU!

This class is two hours so we can have enough time to decorate and ask questions along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family! It's a blast whether you're coming with a big group, a friend, family member, or solo!

The class will be held at Ivanhoe Park Lager House - Ivanhoe's new location on Orange Blossom Trail.

FAQ:

What will I be doing in the class?

Besides having the most fun ever? I will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day.

Do I need to know how to bake?

Nope! I will have the cookies pre-made for you and will give you the recipe in an email after class so you can create your own on your own!

What will we learn in class?

You’ll learn what goes into preparing royal icing, the value of different icing consistencies, how to color icing, and tricks to fill piping bags (believe me, it’s harder than it looks). You’ll also learn different decorating techniques such as marbling, outlining, detailing, and wet-on-wet. Techniques will vary depending on the class.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing is required! Everything will be provided for you including our rather tasty sugar cookies. All you need to do is join us and have fun!
Messy decorator? You can bring your own apron, or just wear easy-to-wash clothing.
Near-sighted? Pack your glasses! There is a reference slide deck, so if things get blurry far away, grab your magnifiers :)

What age is best for cookie classes?

My classes are best for kids over age 10. Kids under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder who joins them for the class.

What will I bring home?

By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24-48 hours in their own box. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! Seats are limited, so definitely sign up ASAP!

Can my child or friend share a ticket with me?

We ask that all attendees purchase their own ticket! Seats at the decorating table(s) are limited and reserved for ticket-holders.

General Cancellation Policy for Classes:

Canceling before 7 days out:

If you are unable to attend a class and it's 7 or more days away, email me at soundbaking@gmail.com to choose another class to move to, or to get your refund started!

Canceling within 7 days of class:

For any cancellation prior to your class’s start time but after the 7-day refund policy, please email me at soundbaking@gmail.com and we'll transfer your ticket to a future class or arrange for you to pick up your cookies and icing to make the cookies at home.

You Don't Show Up Or Email Prior To Class:

If I do not hear from you before the class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit regardless of whether you're sick. So please reach out to me if you’re feeling sick before class starts!
